Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) specifies the maximum acceptable amount of data loss measured in time for a disruptive incident. It defines how far back data must be recovered to maintain business functions and informs backup frequency, replication strategies, and SLA targets. Organizations set RPO according to business needs and technical constraints.
